Derco Insulating Mat

• Reduces damage caused by cold and drying winds
• Prevents branch damage caused by heavy snow and freezing rain
• Protects from street abrasives
• Preserves the health of the plants until springtime

Installation:

The Derco Insulating Mat can be installed directly around shrubs. The white colour creates a microclimate which lessen temperature variations.

Measure the shrub circumference and cut the material to the desired length. Make 3 or 4 holes along the width of both ends and tie a 4" string in each hole. Then place the insulating mat around the shrub and tie the strings together.

For windy regions or areas with heavy snow accumulation, we suggest the Derco EZ Pro-Tech winter protection, which consists of an insulating mat solidly attached to wood stakes, practical and so easy to install.

Important: install this material as late as possible, preferably after the first snow fall or when the ground is frozen. Remove it on an overcast day and at the end of the day early in spring as soon as the snow starts to melt and the days get warmer.
