Ritchie’s is currently looking to add to our retail team for the 2022 season! We are currently looking for horticulturalists to assist in our garden centres. We are seeking knowledgeable and energetic team players to assist and provide support in a retail setting.
This position is part of the Garden Centre team and falls under the direction of the Garden Centre Manager. The main focus of this position is to provide excellent customer service in the area of Retail and support the functions of the Garden Centre and Retail Operations.
Areas of Responsibilities
Duties include but not limited to
Answer customer inquiries in person or by phoneGive recommendations to clients regarding plants and other garden related productsCare for plants by watering / pruningMerchandise productSupport other retail staff as requiredPutting together customer orders
Periodic Activities and Responsibilities
Assist in quarterly inventoriesUnload incoming deliveries / load delivery vehiclesMaintain a clean and safe workplace.
Horticulture Diploma / Certificate (or working towards)Experience working in a retail environment / public setting
Employee must supply and wear safety shoes/boots at all times.
