We are currently looking for friendly, energetic, and hardworking individuals to join our retail team.

We are seeking dependable team members who enjoy working with customers, are comfortable handling cash and transactions, and can support the day-to-day operations of a busy retail environment.

Description

This position is part of the Retail Team and falls under the direction of the Store Manager.

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing customer purchases, assisting with products and inquiries, and supporting general store operations.

Activities and Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
  
• Assist customers with locating products and answering questions.
  
• Provide basic product information and recommendations.
  
• Operate the cash register and POS system.
  
• Process cash, debit, credit, gift card, and other customer transactions.
  
• Accurately handle cash and provide correct change.
  
• Process returns, exchanges, and discounts according to store policies.
  
• Balance and maintain the cash area as required.
  
• Answer store phone calls and direct inquiries when needed.
  
• Stock, organize, and merchandise products.
  
• Assist customers with carrying or loading purchases when required.
  
• Help receive, unpack, price, and organize incoming merchandise.
  
• Support seasonal displays, promotions, and store changes.
  
• Assist other departments as needed.
  

Periodic Responsibilities

• Assist with inventory counts.
  
• Unload and organize incoming deliveries.
  
• Support other retail staff and departments as required.
  
• Assist with store events and seasonal setup when needed.
  
• Complete any other related duties assigned by the Store Manager.
  

Qualifications

• Retail, cashier, and/or customer service experience is an asset.
  
• Experience using a POS or cash register is an asset.
  
• Comfortable handling cash and processing customer transactions accurately.
  
• Bilingualism is an asset, but not required.
  
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
  
• Friendly, professional, and comfortable working with the public.
  
• Ability to follow directions and stay on task.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
• Ability to lift and move products as required.
  
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor retail environments.
  
• Must be flexible to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
