Our Maya Aroid Soil Blend Mix is perfect for plants that thrive in rich, nutrient-rich soil with good aeration. It contains a high-quality blend of sustainably harvested pine, fir bark, and hand-harvested golden sphagnum moss.

• Aroids & Tropical Climbers: 
  Alocasia, Amydrium, Anthurium, Cercestis, Colocasia, Homalomena, Monstera, Philodendron, Rhaphidophora, Syngonium, Xanthosoma.
   
• Epiphytic & Semi-Epiphytic Plants:
  Anthurium species with aerial roots, Epipremnum (including Cebu Blue, Golden Pothos, and Epipremnum pinnatum), Hoya, Marcgravia, Piper crocatum, Rhipsalis, Scindapsus, other tropicals with aerial roots that prefer chunky, well-aerated soil.

Sizes:

• 3 Liters: enough to fill 5 (4-inch) nursery pots and 1 (6-inch) nursery pot.
• 8.5 Liters: enough to fill 6 (4-inch) nursery pots and 5 (6-inch) nursery pots.

How to Use:

• Loosen roots gently. 

• Remove old soil, trim roots carefully, and reset in fresh Maya's Aroid Soil Blend.

• Water thoroughly and allow excess to drain.

• Watch it grow.

• Coco Coir – Retains moisture while remaining light and breathable, helping to prevent over-drying.

• Coco Chips – Adds chunky texture to improve drainage and reduce compaction.

• Fir Bark Fines (1/8–1/4") – Provides organic structure and supports airflow around roots.

• Fine Perlite – Improves aeration and drainage; keeps soil loose and oxygen-rich.

• Coarse Perlite – Further boosts aeration and rapid drainage for aroid root health.

• Fir Bark – Adds chunky structure, improving airflow and drainage around thicker roots.

• Sustainably Harvested Pine Bark – Creates large air pockets for vigorous root growth; helps prevent compaction.

• Sustainably Harvested Sphagnum Moss – Holds moisture evenly without waterlogging; naturally resists fungal growth.

• Charcoal Bits – Absorbs excess moisture and odours; helps reduce the risk of root rot.

• Worm Castings – Supplies gentle, organic nutrients and fosters a living, active soil system.

Biochar – Enhances nutrient retention, buffers pH, and supports beneficial microbial life.
