Growing recommendations
Lettuce can be direct seeded or transplanted in successions early in the spring until late summer. Sow seeds and barely cover with soil (1/4”) – seeds need light to germinate but the germinated seeds will die if allowed to dry out. Space or thin head lettuce to 12”. Lettuce for mixed greens can be seeded more densely, ideally in rows for ease of harvest.
