When to Avoid Installing Sod

Mid-summer: Hot, dry conditions make establishment harder and require frequent watering.
Winter: Frozen ground prevents sod from rooting properly.

Ideal Installation Conditions

For best results, install sod on a mild or overcast day, ideally when temperatures are between 15°C and 24°C, with steady moisture available.
