Very rare highly prized heirloom variety used in Mediterranean and Japanese cuisine lending an unusual somewhat salty flavour to the fronds and stems. The plants usually grow to near 24 inches tall if allowed and are ready to pick in about 70-80 days in typical growing conditions.
Agretti seed needs to be stored in warmer conditions than most other seeds in about 14-16 degrees C for optimum germination. Thin out grassy shoots once they reach 6-8 inches, they can be harvested by cutting. The shoots will regrow allowing 3-5 harvests. This particular variety thrives on a loose soil/sand mixture garden base.
