A gorgeous big and somewhat ribbed tomato, this german heirloom was an instant favourite. The fruits are yellow with red mottling on the skin and in the flesh too. Few and small seed cavities, yet super juicy with a flesh texture and taste reminiscent of a ripe plum.

Growing recommendations
Seed tomatoes ¼” deep 4-8 weeks before last frost. Seed densely and transplant to cells or pots after seedlings develop true leaves. Transplant 18”-24” apart when days are warm and there is no longer any risk of frost (ideally avoiding night temperatures below 7 degrees Celsius). Tomatoes like a rich soil, amend with compost or manure as needed. When transplanting, be sure to cover the root ball and submerge the stalk all the way to the cotyledons – the submerged stalk will form adventitious roots. Water thoroughly when transplanting. Stake or trellis tomatoes, unless they are dwarf varieties.
